So how do you measure success?

Today is such a beautiful day outside! Too bad I have to go to work. @#%$*! So yesterday morning I woke up thinking that it was Wednesday. Somehow this week I seem to have skipped a day. But I was very happy when I found out that it was actually Thursday instead!! Also I got some new pictures of Charlotte and her two little girls and a pic of Natalie and her new baby Rita. I've included them in a posting below. And that's about it folks!

How adorable!!! Could it be my turn next?? I guess I will settle for being an uncle for now. Perhaps later in my life I'll think about fatherhood... my parents would be so happy to be grandparents.

An article in the newspaper from 1954:Scientist from the RAND Corporation have created this computer model to illustrate how a "home computer" could look like in the year 2004. However the needed technology will not be economically feasible for the average home.

--Imagine if our home computers looked like that!!! I guess we've underestimated our own intellectual capabilities. To think that now we have computer notebooks weighing only 4 lbs. or less at 11" x 10 "x 1.3" and it wouldn't surprise me if there are any smaller size out there. I believe the smallest computer that fits portable designs is at 1.25 x 2.3 x 0.26 in.

Drivers license and privacy act

We should all be writing to our politicians about this one!!! You can now check your driver's license information online. Now you can see anyone's drivers license on the internet, including your own. It asks for U.S. information but it also works for Canadian licenses as well. I just searched for mine and there it was... picture and all. Really scary, eh? I removed mine and I suggest you all do the same.

Go to the website below and check it out. Enter your name and city, if you are Canadian leave (Select a State) as is and then type "Canada" in city box to see if yours is on file. After your license comes on the screen, click the box marked "Please Remove".

Monday

Dragged my feet into work this morning. Didn't sleep very well all weekend long. I blame it on the cold I was battling. But I seem to be feeling much better.

As expected, the weekend was pretty good. I didn't get to go biking like I wanted to... I had to recuperate from my cold. But I did spend some time with Erick and Friday evening we went over to his ant's place for his cousin's bday party. They were having a BBQ and the food was incredible! I got to try some Filipino cake (made with sticky rice and coconut milk...) but the best was left for last, Ice Cream Cake!! YUMMY!!! I LOVE DQ... And again, I have to say that Filipino hospitality is truly heart warming.

On Saturday and Sunday... Finally picked up my L.A. pictures at the photolab and I am now going to start putting them in a photo album. It's a hobby that I truly enjoy.
