Monday blahs
Well Buddy seems to be feeling a bit better these days. I still notice at times that he walks with a limp but that might just be me being all paranoid. He finished his medication last week and I started him with a daily dose of shark cartilage powder on his food. I just hope it helps with his back pains...

Over the weekend
I called my maman and she was telling me that my papa was granted permission to go home on weekends. I'm happy to hear that because he was getting a bit homesick and depressed. So I got to talk to him as well and encouraged him to stay positive with his rehab. It seems like he might stay in the hospital for another few weeks, as he is not able to walk yet on his own.

...and that's about it for moi! My weekend for the most part was uneventful.

Annnnd the next Canadian Idol "weiner" is...

Eva Avila crowned 2006 Canadian Idol! OMG people, it's just a fucken TV show! We all know that Craig Sharpe will get a record deal out of this too. Sharpe got in the finals because he's a good singer and not because of ratings or the fact that he's from Newfoundland. The rest of Canada is gonna start saying that Newfies are sore loosers... Seriously!!!

"Avila edged 16-year-old Sharpe by a three per cent margin or just over 131,000 votes in a tight race that CTV officials said was determined by fans in Western Canada. "

Eva Avila won the competition on September 17 not because she's from the province of QUEBEC. Last year, if I recall correctly, all Quebecers got cut out of the competition at some point of the show and you didn't hear them call foul play. So get over yourselves!

Again my congrats to Ms. Avila for winning.

Even Amanda Bynes was in the audience that night! She was hangin' with her peeps from the movie "Hairspray" that's presently being filmed right here in Toronto!

I just watched a bit of an interview on CBC with Dianna Krall. All I have to say is this woman gives me the creeps. I LOVE her voice and songs! She's a talented jazz singer and no one can take that away from her. But she just creeps me out when she does interviews and NO it's not just me...

Montreal Shooting at Dawson College...
What a sad day this was for everyone... The shooting triggered memories of the 1989 massacre at the Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal, where a gunman killed 14 women before killing himself. And now a similar shooting of a deranged individual who could not pass up an opportunity for revenge.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Anastasia DeSousa's family and friends.

Took Buddy to the vet clinic this evening. His back problems have returned. Poor little Buddy. So he got some meds and he seems to be feeling a bit better. Later on this week, I'm going to go buy him some shark cartilage powder... It helps to relieve joint pain, reduces swelling and inflammation and improves joint mobility. So here's hoping that Buddy lives a long and pain-free life 'til the end.

Trip to New Brunswick August 2006!

Here's 2 pics of my friends from back home... The first one is me and Diane and the other, from left to right we have: Jose, Diane, Denise, Danny & Troy. -We went 4wheeling one afternoon and did we ever have a blast! More pics to come of my trip.

So my trip to NB was a tad bit stressful... But THANKS to my family and friends, I was able to get away from it all for brief moments at a time. I got to see pretty much everyone except for a couple of friends. Hopefully next time I'll get to see Patsy and Sylvie.

It just happened that my dad had a stroke a few days before my scheduled trip to NB. According to my mom he's doing much better now. He'll be in therapy for another 10 weeks or so. He's starting to get a bit homesick now but who could blame him being stuck in a hospital! I'm glad I was home during this family crisis so I was able to help my mom with financial stuff...

While I was visiting some family members, my car rental got bumped into. Yikes! :^( Talk about your bad luck! But I did get to see all the new babies and existing ones that my friends seem to keep poping out. Jay Jay (Diane's little guy) is absolutely adorable and Chantelle (Denise's new baby girl) is so cute and all smiles. Kaitlyn and Sara (Charlotte's little girls) are little princesses and what can be said about Rita (Nathalie's new baby girl), she is a little diva just like her mommy. hehe I'll be adding some pics of them real soon on my blog.

Oh and speaking of bad luck, when I came back to Toronto, AC lost my luggage!! Grrr But I did manage to get it back at the end. Like my friend Will would say, "Thank da lawd!"

TV Series "WHAT i THINK ABOUT YOU"

with Jennie Garth & Amanda Bynes

I recently got hooked on a TV series. And apparently Fox Network pulled the plug on the show, which is ashame cuz it's hilarious! I had no clue the blond chick from 90210 was a funny girl. She was arguably the single most talented cast member of 90210, so it's good to see her in something that's actually watchable.

Amanda Bynes. What more can I say? She's (literally) the reason this show was created, she plays the main character Holly perfectly, she's one of the best physical comediennes still living today, she's funny, she's a gifted actress, she's very down-to-earth and smart, she's a great improvisor, and she's beautiful. This show is well-written, well-acted (of course), and well-casted. (duh, it's Amanda!) LOVE THE SHOW but too bad it got cancelled.
