C'est la Hallowe'en !

Monday

After work, Buddy and I went for a nice long walk to look at Halloween decorations. The weather was perfect for all the kids to trick or treat. Although I hardly saw any in the Riverdale area!

Sunday

Today I went to church with my friend Colin and his buddy Anthony. To my surprise it was a very nice service! The songs were uplifting and what they had to say about religions was quite enlightening. I will definitely return next Sunday. It's a Catholic Church called The Metropolitan Community Church http://www.mcctoronto.com/ and they welcome everyone from all race, ethnicity and religions. There is NO discrimination and they also perform same-sex weddings. Unfortunately, some religions have lost credibility for discriminating and being so judgmental of others. After the service we all went for some dim sum which was great as usual. Later on we picked up my dog Buddy and went for a nice long stroll on the boardwalk at the Beaches. It was such a beautiful Automn day. Buddy sure had fun meeting lots of new four-legged friends through out the afternoon!

Wednesday

After work I went to my bank to apply for a consolidating loan for my credit cards. I feel like all I do these days is pay the interest. Afterwards I stopped at the vet clinic to pick up another can of dog food. It's the only way I'm able to hide Buddy's medications without him spitting it out! I also called Diane tonight to let her know how Buddy was doing and see how things are going with her and the gang. Baby Jesus is growing up so fast!!! Can't wait for my next visit so I can hang out with her and Jose and play around with baby J. I'm going to teach him how to say my name properly... Matante Christian ! lol

Monday

Buddy seems to be feeling much better! The only problem is now I have to fight with him twice a day to take his medication. But in time I'll get the hang of it. So another work week ahead and it's raining cats and dogs outside. I think it will be like this for part of the week. I'm not complaining but I did forget my umbrella this morning. As for Sunday, I did some cleaning and went for multiple walks with Buddy. I also called my mom in the evening to see how things are going back home. My dad has just started building a camp in the woods behind my parents home. To get there we'll have to drive on my dad's ATV-4wheeler. I am looking forward to seeing it when I come home for a visit.

Saturday

Today is the BIG day! Buddy is finally coming home from the vet clinic. This morning I managed to do some cleaning and wash my floors. Afterwards I headed out the door to get him. Let's just say that I slept so well that night knowing that he was safe at home with me. I also chatted with my ant on MSN tonight and found out that Sorelle's funeral is this coming Tuesday. I wish I could go... But the family knows that they're all in my heart and prays. Sorelle will be buried with my grandfather that passed away last May. We know that he will take good care of her up in heaven.

Friday

Today the vet called me and told me that he could finally go home on Saturday. My questions are still going unanswered as to what caused him to get so ill. After work I went to see my baby and as soon as I said his name he started barking and the tail was going... I almost started crying! So let's just say I was relieve to see him feeling better.

Thursday

I hardly slept last night when I left my little Buddy at the Emergency Animal Hospital. I went to pick him up this morning thinking I could bring home and was heart broken when I heard that he wouldn't be. So they called me a cab and I took him to the original vet clinic so that they could keep a close eye on him. His breathing was very heavy and just not himself. The Veterinarian at the clinic told me that it was a wise decision that I took him home last night because Buddy would have been all alone there. Just imagine how sick he would have been in the morning!?? So they'll be doing some x-rays and see if he's got kidney stones or find out what the hell is making my Buddy sick! :*( So I'm leaving early today from work and heading straight to the clinic to see him. Hopefully by then they'll know what's wrong with him and take it to the next step.

Buddy got worst tonight. Every 15 min he pees and it's a dark colour of brown. (blood in his urine) Plus his response is getting weaker by the hour. I forced him to drink a bit of water but he puked it all, even with anti-vomiting medication! I'm just glad that Julian was online to calm me down... I was totally loosing it! My friend Alex came to pick me up and took me to the Emergency Animal Hospital at Yonge and Church. We were there for a couple of hours. I just pray that they will make him better again. A million thanks to Alex and Julian's support!

Wednesday

I left work early today to take Buddy to the vet clinic. Poor baby is really sick. I noticed that his pee is pretty much on the brown side today... probably an infected liver. So they did some blood work and tomorrow morning I'll be taking him again at 8 am. But he's not well tonight!! I am so afraid... but I'm gonna try to stay positive. I just wish they would have given him some antibiotics or something tonight.

Tuesday

Warning: This post is a bit depressing. Again, Buddy is sick, puking and not eating... At least he drank some water! I think he actually has a fever because his nose is warm and should be cold. I can tell that something is wrong. I actually tried to find that yellow stuff that he ate on Sunday but was impossible to find. My poor little Buddy. While at work, Lora called me today! I was so happy to hear from her. We are getting together very soon to practice her French. After getting back from her 4 months in France she is getting ready to go take an intensive French course at some university in Montreal. I can't wait to go visit her in Montreal! As well, my coworker Melanie and I are making plans to go out in the next couple of weeks. I think we might go to this club on College street called El Convento Rico. I can't wait to meet her brother and their friends. After work I got home and Buddy greeted me at the door barking!! Not the same as usual but enough to show me that he's feeling a little bit better. But puked again outside and this time it was yellowish like the stuff he ate last Sunday. OKay I know it's gross... I'm going to take him to the vet tomorrow for sure.

I got some terrible news tonight. My cousin, Izmael's wife who was 5 months pregnant was rushed to the hospital and went into labor and delivered a baby girl. Unfortunately, the baby only lived for an hour. The priest baptized her and they named her Sorelle. My heart goes out to them and my entire family. How sad this day has ended.

Monday

Got up this morning and Buddy looked sick. He was walking very slow and had puked pretty much all of last night's supper. I know it's not the food he eats because it's one of the top brand of naturopath food for animals called Fromm. I'm very worried... I remember that last evening while walking him around the block, I caught him eating something yellow and stopped him from eating more. I'm wondering if this is linked to his sickness. I'll go to work and see how he is when I come home around supper time.

The weekend was not so good... I'd rather not get into it. But can someone tell me why one would keep a scorecard and think that it is a good way of keeping a friendship? I just know that I would never deliberatly hurt someone. If anything, I would feel bad for not realizing that my comment or my action was hurtful. And I would hope that they would know me well enough to know that I prefer to listen and work things out instead of arguing. The only good thing was talking to Julian for most of the weekend... Saturday, Amanda brought me two bags of food that she cannot eat because of her bodybuilding diet. I was so thankful. In the evening I went over for dinner at Alex's place. So I finally got to meet his boyfriend, Greg! They make a very nice couple. It was cool hanging out with them and just watching TV. I had picked up dessert and it was so yummy; apple crumble!! mmm As for Sunday, it was okay. Called a couple of friends from back home and my mom. I can just imagine how much my phone bill is going to be next month... Yikes!!!

Friday

Why is it, every time the Canadian federal government stands up to the Americans on trade issues or foreign policy issues Canadians are considered to be anti-American? Have we ever considered the fact that George W. Bush and his administration may be anti-Canadian not to mention belligerent towards Canada and other nations without just cause?

Finally, a short 4 day work-week that actually felt like it. Normally those can drag on and feel like an eternity. No big plans on the weekend. Going to do the usual; pay some bills, grocery shopping, cleaning, hang out with some friends, sleep in late!!!

Coming back from a long weekend is so hard to do. It's funny to see everyone on the subway platform dragging there feet into work and school... with an extra large coffee, including me! And we're all complaining how the long weekend went by way too fast! haha

CBC lockout officially ends
Happy-looking CBC workers returned to the network’s broadcast centre Tuesday morning, hugging one another and claiming victory in the eight-week lockout dispute.

Does this English TV broadcaster really serve a national purpose in some way? If it does, it's at a cost that is obscene. 1 billion of our tax payers money goes towards them. What do they do with the extra money they get from advertising? Could they not be privatized? Compete with the big networks out there? Perhaps they would not survive as most Canadians these days tune in to other networks. Wouldn't this mean that Canadians who don't watch CBC should be entitled to a tax refund? Hey, I want some money back!!

I went over to my best friend, Amanda, for Thanksgiving dinner. She's a very good cook! We had a great time chatting and looking at pictures from her past trips... I had a really great time.

Was a long day at work but finally it's over. A long weekend awaits us and I'm going to sleep in everyday!

Julian is one of the sweetest guys I've ever met in my life. I've known him for over a year now and to think that he has been more there for me than most of my friends that live in the same city as me! He's compassionate, loyal, honest, sincere, passionate about life. He's such a great guy. Gotta love him!

Wednesday

On my way home from work I checked my voicemail and had two messages from Julian! So of course I couldn't resist calling him back. I plan on visiting him in California very soon. Other than that I'm just glad it's humpday.

Tuesday

My friend Alex picked me up and went over to his place. He is presently packing his life away into boxes as he is moving from his parent's basement apartment to upstairs with his family. They plan to rent out the basement apartment. So to make a long story short, he gave a whole bunch of kitchen appliances such as: Rice cooker, a steamer, slow cooker, indoor grill, Hamilton Beach grill, a mixter... t'was like Christmas! I owe him bigtime. Hey Alex, looks like your my new sugar Daddy!! haha

Sunday

I had a pretty good weekend. Did the usual; paid some bills, did some groceries, relaxed at home, went to the park with Buddy. This morning (Sunday) I went for brunch with a friend of mine to this restaurant located west from Highpark on Bloor street. The restaurant was called Dr. Generosity... grrrreat brunch!! They actually bring a coffee pot at your table. You gotta love dat!

Smart Car
A car that only cost $10 a week of gas and is good for the environment. Hmmm... definitely something to think about. I wouldn't mind having a cute car like that for me and Buddy!
